Keynote Speaker:
Angela Worley
Dayton Public Schools
Ms. Angela Worley is a native Daytonian. She graduated from Col. White High School for the Arts. Her magnet concentration was symphonic orchestra where she sat 2nd chair playing first violin. Following graduation, she went on to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Central State University and was actively pursuing her Master’s degree when she paused to become a full-time caregiver through the illnesses of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie D. Worley. Mrs. Worley would make a full recovery from numerous surgeries related to a diagnosis of spinal stenosis. Sadly, Mr. Worley bravely lost his battle with ALS in 2019. During her time of caregiving, Angela began a career as a Reserve Teacher in DPS to afford her flexibility with appointment scheduling. An active parent to daughter Arielle, now 16, she began to gain insight into the DPS school system and the community and families that it serves. Angela began full-time employment with DPS as Academic Coordinator of Student Activities, Family Engagement, and Community Outreach in October 2021.
Angela is also a committed volunteer with many community organizations, including:
· The Family Engagement Collaborative of the Miami Valley Region- Executive Board Member
· Montgomery County Fatherhood Coalition- Member
· The City of Dayton Teen Youth Summit Planning Committee- Member
· Community Action Team of the Every One Reach One Maternal Infant Vitality Task Force of Public Health Montgomery County- Member
