What Not To Flush - Song Showdown
Challenge: Your class creates and submits a short (<3min) song, rap, or skit about what not to flush down the sanitary sewer.
How to Win: Festival Planning Committee reviews all videos that meet the requirements and choose their favorite.
Deadline: Monday, May 9th by 3pm
Prize: Tickets to the Dayton Dragons for the whole class

(Only classes that signed up for this challenge during Registration will be eligible to participate)
Challenge: Your class will receive a pre-paid Terracycle box for recycling writing utensils (pens, markers, pencils, etc). You must fill the box, take and submit a photo showing how much was collected, and mail the box to TerraCycle.
How to Win: The class that fills it the most and sends it off wins. If multiple classes fill the box, there will be a lottery to choose the winner.
Deadline: Monday, May 9th by 3pm
Prize: Tickets to the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery for the whole class
There Is No Away - Writing Recycling Challenge.pdfFollow the Water - Stormwater Scavenger Hunt
Challenge: Explore stormwater by finding the storm drain(s) at your school, create a stormwater flow map, document how you protect our rivers by cleaning up any litter and placing a storm drain medallion on the drain.
How to Win: Submit photos of the drain, the map, and any trash collected. There will be a lottery of those who complete the challenge to choose the winner.
Deadline: Monday, May 9th by 3pm
Prize: T-shirts and water swag bags for each student!
